⚡ #Elektromobilität im Fokus 🔋 Circularity for E-Mobility – Im Zuge der Elektromobilität rückt auch das Thema #Batterierecycling immer weiter in den Fokus. In Zusammenarbeit mit BLC – The Battery Lifecycle Company und Mercedes-Benz AG arbeiten wir bereits heute daran, wie wir Batterien nachhaltig aufbereiten können, um die darin verwendeten Rohstoffe wieder in den #Kreislauf zurückzuführen. 🚗 Mercedes-Benz treibt die Elektromobilität mit dem Fokus #Nachhaltigkeit aktiv voran: Bis 2039 wollen sie die gesamte Neufahrzeugflotte über alle Wertschöpfungsstufen hinweg bilanziell CO2-neutral gestalten. Besonders wichtig dafür sind auch die Themen #Recycling und Reuse. Von der Demontage bis zur Tiefenentladung bereitet unser Joint Venture BLC Batterien aus Elektrofahrzeugen für das Recycling bei Mercedes-Benz vor. 💬 In Vorträgen auf der IFAT wurde über die Chancen und Herausforderungen des Batterierecyclings in der Zukunft diskutiert. We are already collaborating with BLC – The Battery Lifecycle Company and Mercedes-Benz AG to look at how we can recycle batteries sustainably so that the raw materials used in them can be recovered and returned to the #economic cycle. 🚗 Mercedes-Benz is not only actively driving forward e-mobility. It is also focusing on #sustainability: by 2039, their goal is to make the whole of their new vehicle fleet carbon-neutral across all stages of the supply chain. The topics of #recycling and reuse are also particularly important for them to achieve this target. From dismantling to deep discharge, our joint venture BLC prepares EV batteries for recycling at Mercedes-Benz. 💬 The future opportunities and challenges of battery recycling were discussed in presentations at the IFAT. 👉 Partnerschaften für eine nachhaltige Zukunft ♻ Ein wichtiger Baustein auf dem Weg der #Dekarbonisierung der #Aluminiumindustrie ist die Erhöhung des Recyclinganteils in der Produktion. Besonders in der #Automobilindustrie sind dabei qualitativ hochwertige Recyclingprodukte eine Herausforderung. Mit unseren Recyclingprodukten #TSR130 und #TSR136 können wir der Aluminiumindustrie Rohstoffe zur Verfügung stellen, die nicht nur energie- und ressourcenschonend, sondern auch qualitativ hochwertig und sofort verfügbar sind. 🚗 Ein bedeutender Meilenstein für die Transformation der Industrie: In unserer Zusammenarbeit mit Mercedes-Benz AG und Novelis ist es uns gelungen, den Recyclinganteil in einem Prototypen-Aluminiumseitenteil auf 86 Prozent zu erhöhen – und das bei gleichbleibend hoher Qualität. High-quality recycled products are a particular challenge here, especially within the #automotive industry. Thanks to our #TSR130 and #TSR136 recycled products, we can now provide the aluminium industry with raw materials that not only conserve energy and natural resources but are also of a high quality and are available whenever they are needed. 🚗 A significant milestone has also been reached as the industry looks to achieve its green transition: by collaborating with Mercedes-Benz AG and Novelis, we have succeeded in increasing the recycled content in a prototype aluminium side panel to 86% – while still maintaining the same high quality. This makes it possible to achieve the carbon targets and clearly shows that product quality goes hand in hand with recycled raw materials. 🤝 We presented the project with Mercedes at the IFAT today. 🤝 TSR x voestalpine x Mercedes-Benz ♻ Die #Transformation der Wirtschaft hin zu mehr #Nachhaltigkeit und #Klimaneutralität ist eine der großen Zukunftsaufgaben – vor allem für CO2-intensive Industriezweige wie die Stahlbranche und deren nachgelagerte Industrien. 🚗 Wir sind stolz darauf, gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern voestalpine und Mercedes-Benz AG die Transformation der #Industrie weiter voranzutreiben. Unser hochwertiges Recyclingprodukt #TSR40 wird aus Post-Consumer-Material hergestellt und kann in der Neuproduktion von Fahrzeugen wieder eingesetzt werden. TSR40 spart schon heute CO2 ein, schont Ressourcen und Energie. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit Mercedes-Benz und voestalpine ist es uns durch TSR40 gelungen, den Anteil an Post-Consumer-Material in einem Seitenteil einer Mercedes-Neukarosse auf 25 Prozent zu steigern. Bis 2030 will Mercedes diesen Recyclinganteil auf 40 Prozent erhöhen. Our high-quality recycled product #TSR40 is made from post-consumer material and can be used to produce new vehicles. TSR40 already cuts carbon emissions and conserves natural resources and energy. By closely collaborating with Mercedes-Benz and voestalpine, TSR40 has enabled us to increase the proportion of post-consumer material in the side panel of a new Mercedes body to 25%. Mercedes aims to increase this recycled content to 40% by 2030. An important signal for the mobility of the future. 💬 We presented this lighthouse project with Voestalpine and Mercedes-Benz at the IFAT today. One major part in this transformation process is high-quality recycled raw materials, which can significantly increase the proportion of recycled materials in products.     Regarding the #steel material flow, we rely on our high-quality #TSR40 recycling product, which we make available to the steel industry for the production of more sustainable steel products. We are pleased to announce that the Austrian steel and technology group voestalpine will be using TSR40 in its production with immediate effect.     This is another important milestone on the path to #decarbonization and #transformation of the steel industry, which we are taking together. Every tonne of TSR40 used in the blast furnace can save around one tonne of CO2 and conserve valuable #resources.     As a leading global group and partner to the automotive industry, Voestalpine is working on technologies for decarbonization and the long-term reduction of CO2 emissions, and is committed to global climate targets. 🔁 Nachhaltige Kreislaufwirtschaft in der Automobilindustrie Getreu dem Motto „From Car to Car “ haben wir heute mit Mercedes-Benz AG, Aurubis, LRP-Autorecycling , BLC – The Battery Lifecycle Company, voestalpine, BDE Bundesverband der Deutschen Entsorgungs-, Wasser- und Kreislaufwirtschaft e. V. und Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V. unseren Gemeinschaftsstand „Circularity for E-Mobility“ auf der IFAT Munich eröffnet. Am Beispiel Automobil präsentieren wir erfolgreich umgesetzte Leuchtturmprojekte, bei denen das effektive und nachhaltige Schließen von Kreisläufen heute schon gelingt. 🚗 Von der ordnungsgemäßen Demontage über die Aufbereitung der Altfahrzeuge bis zum Wiedereinsatz der zurückgewonnenen #Recyclingrohstoffe: Anhand der Stoffströme Stahl, Aluminium, Kupfer und Kunststoff zeigen wir auf, dass eine funktionierende #Kreislaufwirtschaft Grundlage für das Gelingen der #Transformation wie auch für einen nachhaltigen #Wirtschaftsstandort Deutschland und Europa ist. Heute ist der Deutsche #Erdüberlastungstag.🌍 Dieser markiert symbolisch den Tag im Jahr, ab dem #Deutschland die Ressourcen verbraucht hat, die die Erde in einem Jahr regenerieren kann. Unter dem Motto "Jeder Tag zählt! Unsere Chance, die Welt zu verbessern." setzen wir uns täglich mit unserer Arbeit dafür ein, den Weltüberlastungstag weiter nach hinten zu verschieben. Denn #Recyclingrohstoffe, wie wir sie in unseren Anlagen produzieren, sind der Schlüssel, um natürliche Ressourcen zu schonen, CO2 in der Produktion einzusparen und die #Transformation hin zu einer zirkulären Wirtschaft weiter voranzubringen.♻ Alleine werden wir diese Herausforderungen aber nicht bewältigen können, viel mehr ist die Transformation unserer Wirtschaft eine Aufgabe, die wir nur gemeinsam – etwa in #Industriepartnerschaften - meistern können.
